Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American journalist. Her employer is ESPN and works as a SportsCenter News Anchor. Since 2016, Collins has joined ESPN. She's the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. Since she was nine years old, her ability to communicate in two languages led to her obtaining a job in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. In this role, she had the opportunity to be a part of national show producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then she was promoted to a reporter for the CBS St. Petersburg affiliate following that. In 2009, she relocated in Rio Grande Valley to work as a reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Later, she was anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given more responsibility. She created pieces for Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS as well as the World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. She also served as the sports anchor of Despierta America Deportes morning show. In similar roles on the magazine program of the network Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents are born in Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point in Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born on November of 1985. She is younger than her sister. She has an older sister. In 1992, her parents separated soon after. In 1995, she remarried Fabio Fajardo who was an engineer in the naval sector who passed away in 2006 due to kidney cancer. In the summer of the year 2006, Antonietta took an entire week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked at the time. Antonietta is a senior in high school but she was clear about the career she wanted to pursue. When she was deciding whether Mount Union is the right choice for her, Antonietta visited the university. She loved the campus. The university also provided her with the program she was interested in. Following the completion of her high school education she enrolled in the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. He encouraged her to believe in herself and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply affected her. She, in turn, strived to meet his standards and never let him down.
